Hey, you!
I am seriously so glad you are here. It can be scary to meet someone new - yes, even I still get butterflies in my stomach when I am meeting someone like you for the first time!
Kids, teens, and young adults find their way to my office for a lot of different reasons.
Maybe reading is really hard for you, and your parents are trying to better understand how you learn best.
Maybe you have been feeling different lately - more irritable, tired, down, empty, or anxious… and you are not quite sure what to do about it.
Or maybe you just want to learn a little more about yourself!
Whatever the reason - I want you to remember 3 things.
You are not alone. Your family and I are here to walk through this with you.
It is okay to feel nervous to meet me! Those nervous feelings will not last forever. If you want, we can play a game or do some coloring at the beginning as we get to know each other.
YOU ARE AMAZING. You, with all the things you are good at and not-so-good at and your unique qualities, are a perfect you.
If you are like me, knowing what I am getting into helps me feel a little bit better. On this page are some pictures of the space we will meet in. If you have any questions, write them down & bring them with you so we can chat about them together. See ya soon!
