Personalized Evaluations & Therapy
Your intake appointment will help us build a personalized set of services to help you and your child overcome the obstacles they are facing. Whether it’s further evaluation or ongoing therapy, Dr. Kelly will partner with you to help your child thrive.
Evaluations - Comprehensive evaluations can help us understand the specific obstacles your child is experiencing. After the parent-only intake session, your child will meet with Dr. Kelly for several testing sessions. The number of sessions can vary depending on the personalized evaluation plan we create for your child. You will be given rating scales to fill out about your child to get your perspective. We will also ask for permission to reach out to the child’s teachers, to gather information about their functioning in different settings. When we finish the evaluation, we will schedule a wrap up session with you to talk about your child’s results.
Therapy - Therapy is an ongoing tool we use to make progress towards greater emotional wellbeing for your child. Therapy sessions are personalized to each child in order to develop the specific skills they need to thrive. Each therapy session will follow a similar structure:
5-10 minute check-in with parent
30-35 minute session with child
5-10 minute summary of session with parent & child
Our Commitment
We track your child’s progress through every stage of the process to make sure we are seeing positive results. We are committed to provide increased connection & relationships with your child; grow your child’s confidence as they navigate home, school, and beyond; and give your family a more integrated life closer to what you dreamed having a family would be. If we are not seeing the progress we hope for through our sessions, we will refer you to another practitioner to support your family’s growth.
But what about…
-
There are a lot of reasons therapy might not have worked for you in the past. Therapists are people too, and sometimes they simply might not be a good fit for your family. Another one of the most common reasons for a poor therapy experience is a failure to get an accurate understanding of the child from the beginning. That is why our discovery calls and intake sessions are an essential part of every child's experience with Brightside Psychology. We also offer progress monitoring through therapy to ensure we are seeing positive growth. If we are not seeing the progress we hope for through our sessions, we will help you find a practitioner to support your growth. Book your free consultation call today to see how Brightside Psychology will work with your family.

We are a self-pay practice. and do not accept insurance. Because our services are unique to each child, there is no "one price fits all" approach to therapy. That's why our consultation calls are 100% free. On our call, we will get to know you, your child, and recommend some ways we can help. We will also be upfront with you about the cost of our recommended services, and you will leave our call with a scheduled intake appointment or a referral that better fits your budget.

Parenting is one of the hardest things you will ever do. You are certainly not alone for feeling that way! As the parent, it is up to you to choose where you want to spend your time.
You will spend your time somewhere - either being reactive to all the situations, behaviors, and difficulties that come up, or by proactively addressing the issues before they overwhelm you. Booking 6-8 therapy sessions is certainly a commitment, but it is a short-term investment of your time that will give you greater peace and emotional wellness in the future.Book your free consultation call today to talk with us about how we can make a plan to support your family.
Meet Dr. Kelly
If I am honest, I felt like I was a better psychologist before I was a parent. Now that I have kids of my own, I realize that answers aren't always as black and white as they seem from the outside. Being a mom is never ending. Even if your kids are not always with you, they are always on your mind. When your child is struggling to connect at school, at home, or with themselves, it becomes even more overwhelming.
No one can be a therapist for their own kids. Whether your child is entering the school years, navigating the tween years, or experiencing the teenage years, everyone need someone else to talk to where they can share in a safe, neutral space. As a Licensed Psychologist (LP) and Licensed Specialist in School Psychology (LSSP), I’ve partnered with families of all kinds to help their children thrive at home, at school, and beyond.
Book a complimentary consult with me today, and let’s talk about how we can work together to build a healthier, stronger connection with your child.
